Gloria Cesal sees her paintings as tales laden with suggestion and visual prose, images that might generate familiarity, but also invoke imaginary spaces. She doesn't follow any intellectual schema in my work --- her compositions are purely instinctual. The evolution of her work has taken a natural course, following not only the duality of her cultural experience, but also the travels of her own life. Most of all, she hopes that her paintings transcend culture borderlines into the realm of spirit that is felt universally.
