‘Underwater Flora’ is a depiction of the cyclical nature of our inner world, where periods of dormancy and introspection give way to renewal. Just as winter gives way to new life, we also blossom with fresh energy as we come into spring. Bold strokes and vibrant colors express the flourishing of feelings and ideas within. This submerged garden reminds us that even in the depths of chaos and uncertainty, beauty and growth thrive. It's a celebration of the resilient human spirit, reminding us that after every harsh winter, a colorful spring awaits.

Adriana paints stories of the sea, inspired by her Puerto Rican childhood surrounded by tropical mountains and sparkling beaches. This early connection with nature ignited a lifelong fascination with water, which she now captures through vibrant acrylics and bold brushstrokes, creating dreamlike underwater worlds. A self-taught artist, Adriana paints intuitively, often featuring underwater gardens, sailboats made of petals, and deconstructed sunsets, each piece inviting viewers on a visual adventure filled with wonder and playfulness.
After relocating from Puerto Rico to Arlington, Virginia, Adriana found new inspiration, pushing her art in exciting directions. Her latest series blends her signature underwater scenes with cityscapes and human figures, reflecting her evolving surroundings. Adriana's work has been featured in group exhibitions across California, Miami, New York, and Puerto Rico. A passionate supporter of the arts, she’s been an active member of the East End Art Guild and is currently an artist in residence at Palette 22 in Shirlington.
